Star’Ra Glenn is a creative visionary, producer, choreographer, and arts executiveerhG. Originally from the Bronx, New York, his passion for movement began at the age of 11 and has since evolved into a career dedicated to building transformative artistic experiences, developing talent, and producing impactful entertainment.

After relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina, Star’Ra continued cultivating his artistry and leadership abilities, eventually attending North Carolina Central University, where he served as president of the university’s dance team for three semesters. It was during this time that his passion expanded beyond performance and into creative direction, production development, artist cultivation, and large-scale event design.

As Chief Creative Performance & Production Architect of JSEG, Star’Ra leads the conceptualization, development, and execution of performance-based productions, artist development initiatives, creative campaigns, and community-centered entertainment experiences. His work focuses on merging storytelling, movement, visual design, and audience engagement to create memorable experiences that inspire, educate, and entertain.

Throughout his career, Star’Ra has choreographed and directed a diverse range of productions, including competitive dance performances, professional pole art showcases, hair and beauty industry presentations, concept videos, live stage productions, and community events. His creative approach is distinguished by its ability to blend artistic excellence with strategic vision, transforming ideas into compelling experiences that resonate with audiences.

In addition to his role at JSEG, Star’Ra serves as Vice President of MADDHouse Productions, where he helps oversee youth development initiatives, artistic programming, and community engagement efforts. He has also trained with industry choreographers in major dance hubs including New York City and Atlanta, Georgia, continually refining his craft and expanding his creative perspective.

Jay Armstrong

Co-Founder/ Executive Producer & Business Director

Jay Armstrong is a creative executive, producer, and talent development strategist with a lifelong foundation in music, dance, performance, and leadership. Beginning his journey as a musician, vocalist, and student leader, he developed his skills through marching band, honors choir, music education studies, collegiate performance organizations, dance teams, and live entertainment productions.

Over the years, Jaywon has built a diverse portfolio of experience as a performer, choreographer, music producer, stage manager, costume designer, creative director, and youth arts leader. He is also the Founder and President of MADDHouse Productions, a youth performance organization established to provide aspiring performers with high-quality training, mentorship, and performance opportunities. Through MADD, he developed programs focused on discipline, confidence, technical excellence, and leadership while producing showcases, competition routines, and community performances that empowered young artists both on and off the stage.

His experience also includes leading performance organizations, coaching and mentoring emerging talent, producing live events, designing costumes and stage concepts, and performing in both community and professional entertainment settings, including the Charlotte Hornets Hive Hip-Hop Crew.

As Co-Founder, Executive Producer, and Business Director of Jay Star’Ra Entertainment Group, Jay combines creative vision with strategic leadership to oversee business operations, production management, talent development, and brand growth. His passion lies in creating opportunities for artists, performers, and creatives to develop their craft, expand their reach, and achieve lasting success.
